Formula1 Tyres

Featured Replies

With Bridgestones contract to supply tyres to formula one up at the end of this season, I have just read that two Korean manufactures, Hankook and Kuhmo are right at the top of the list to replace them. I think that will spell the end of "Budget" prices for which ever one of those gets the new contract !!! (if it happens)

please let Hankook get it....I love my cheapo KU31's!

It's time F1 went for low grip tyres, might make for more interesting racing, especially in the wet

Seriously, I read somewhere that Michelin was considering coming back.

Wanli all the way then ;)

No Grip OK, but the tyres should last and not explode at higher speeds emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

We need two tyre manufactures so the will make faster tyres, with more grip, but don't last as long. We also could see tyres going off and someone trying to keep some speed on wrecked rubber. Now that could spice up things. Tomorrows race can only be worse that the last one if the all got stuck behind a caravan or combine harvester

The rubber the have seems to be ok for 10,000 fecking miles.

Seemingly Michelin "might come back, but only if we can use the same moulds for sports cars and F1". hence the 18" rumours.
