just been thru to darlington mk4 golf centre and had the revo free trial done on my occty vrs.

very impressed with the performance of the car, noticed on my boost gauge that boost has increased from 10psi up to 15psi,i wasnt expecting as much of an increase as that! car seems to like it thou!!

when i got back home to hartlepool went straight round to my mates who owns a honda civic type-r to compare cars performance, anyway ended having drag race i was expecting to get blown away by him quite surprised when there was nothing in it between us!

gunna defo get saving for full remap but think i'll go thru to jabbasport as i like the idea of the custom map to suit my driving style, but cant fault the revo like!

Local demonstrations can be arranged ;)

If you go elsewhere for your proper remap, make sure you inform them in advance that you've had the Revo trial.

yeah will book well in advance! wont be until next year now like cause kiddie winks need prezzies for crimbo so cant afford it.

just bin out in car again notice big flat spot when on half boost round about 3000 rpm not there on full throttle!

is the 15psi boost normal after remap?

The "flat spot" is apparent with remaps from various different tuners. Jabba can map it out if it's apparent on your car, but i can't speak for Revo etc.

Likewise with the boost...i'll leave that to someone else to comment on :)

Did you had the original code reloaded back to the ECU when the trial was over? If not you are driving a modified car - which has implications for insurance and warranty.

I understand they can - if it has been copied before the remap, or if the dealer already has a copy courtesy of REVO.

I've just found the following post by badger5 (aka Brembo Bill) which confirms what I thought.
