  1. 943 for my 2015 Yeti 1.2TSI Outdoor. Without doubt one of the best cars I have. owned.
  2. Shouldn't the new battery have been coded differently to the old one, eg 1111111112, to let the system know it has been changed?
  3. On my 2002 Octavia 1.8T 4x4 the engine build date was 4 weeks before the car build date. I think my 2007 Fabia vRS was the same.
  4. TO 56XYY on a Jaguar F-PACE on the M25 today.
  5. From the OP's first post on Briskoda the car is a Skoda Octavia 1.5 TSI ACT SE DSG Euro 6.
  6. RIP, John. You will be much missed by Briskoda members.
  7. Have you read the first thread in this forum which is about timing chain failures? On page 7 you will see information on the fault codes which could indicate that this is the problem affecting your engine.
  8. I own a 2015 Yeti Outdoor Elegance 1.2TSI DSG with loads of extras. The engine is the 105PS with a timing chain rather than the 110PS with a cam belt which you are considering. In nearly 60 years of driving it is one of the nicest and most practical of cars I have owned. I couldn't get a comfortable driving position in my previous 2010 Octavia II 1.8TSI Estate whereas the heated leather electric driver's seat in the Yeti is extremely adjustable and very comfortable. The car has recently had a P-Torque remap which has increased power to 130hp and torque to 215Nm - modest increases which improve overtaking performance noticeably and are well matched to the DSG. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Yeti but would not buy one with a sunroof given that leaks are problematic and potentially expensive to cure.

  10. Been there and done that. You will have to go plastic then return the paper licence once you have the 21st century version.
  11. Y14NNY on a black (possibly wrapped) Lamborghini Urus V8 Auto heading north on the A1 in Cambridgeshire this morning. I guess this belongs to Yianni of yiannimize.
  12. Could my entry please be removed from the list, ie: Central - Little Paxton/St Neots = DGW = HEX+CAN
  13. Ask the supplying dealer for printout the Vehicle Data information held on their Skoda computer system. Apart from showing full details of the status, contract type and start and finish dates for the warranty, it also lists all the PR numbers (option codes) and their descriptions for your car's full build. The vehicle data sticker in the boot of my Yeti lists 45 Pr numbers whereas the Vehicle Data printout lists all 207.
  14. Starter dead but all other electrics working? When mine did this the cause was a broken feed (exciter wire?) from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid. The wire was broken where it went into the connector plug at the solenoid. I believe that it is a very common fault. The RAC patrolman identified the fault almost immediately.
  15. I think the noise you are hearing is the ABS self testing.
  16. Welcome from a fellow Yeti 1.2TSI owner. 😎
  17. The only time my 2007 Fabia vRS has ever failed to start was early this year when that wire broke where it enters the connector. All the electrics were fine but the starter was dead. An RAC patrol man did a temporary fix in the cold, dark and rain - a difficult job without removing the battery. I have since had a replacement loom fitted.
  18. Get a quote from Unit 18 Automotive in Blakelands, Old Wolverton.
  19. Engine Engineering Ltd in Paisley was dissolved via compulsory strike-off on 23 July 2019. QED.
  20. puneetsewra last visited Briskoda in July 2017 so you may well not get a reply from him.
  21. I use Unit 18 Automotive in Milton Keynes for servicing/repairs for my wife's 2007 Fabia vRS.

    Condensation

I am sure it would. The one I bought to check that a concrete floor was drying after an underfloor pipe leak subsequently proved useful for checking that the rear carpets in my Fabia were dry following attempts to cure the dreaded rear door leaks. I also used it to confirm that a slight bulge in a plasterboard ceiling was due a water leak from a drain pipe above. Good luck sorting out your Yeti's problem.

    Condensation

Have you or the dealer used a moisture meter to check if the carpetting throughout the car is dry?
