Anybody wanting to organize a trip to the factory, I'd be game.

Since there is a preponderance of UK SMOC members, somewhere in UK would be intersting too.

You are all a bit late - the first Briskoda official meet with Yeti's present was last July at the National Heritage Motor Museum at Gaydon.

Skoda UK arrived with two yeti's for everyone to look at and comment on. Several pics on the forum.

There were around 140+ other Skoda's to look at s well.

May be the post is more aimed at current owners of the Yeti.

If I end up heading to Tuscany and the Lakes after our SM has conquered France and Spain this summer I'll be sure to get a message up and maybe a mini meet could happen.

This thread would be about the first official meeting of the SMOC not a Briskoda meet where SUK turned up with some YETIs - I'm sure they'd have got a lot more people turn up if they said they were going to do it, certainly I would have rearranged my plans that weekend if I'd known.

Factory visit sounds good to me - as for a UK meet, we need somewhere in the middle with a hill and a pub!

Well there could be something happening in Wales soon!! I'm just trying to work out a suitable weekend.

Oh, wait till mine arrives! It is due to be conceived on Monday, then born in 3 weeks, and (??) delivered soon after that.

Excuse my ignorance but what does SMOC stand for ? - web searches relate to Mini's not 4x4's etc.

As to telling us about Yeti's being brought to the Gaydon meeting i can assure you that we as the organisers did not even know about it until they arrived.

We had a Market Research company telephone us with an invitation to attend a promotional event for the Yeti - offering us £25 to take part.

Meeting the management and telling them what we thought of the car was one of the delights on offer.

We thought £25 each was more appropriate for our valuable time and expenses but they declined to pay this rate.

Has anyone else had this offer?

Think it was in Surrey and in about a month's time.
