Chips Away

Featured Replies

Anyone used Chips Away in the Manchester area? Were you happy with the work? Finally going to get some scratches and chips from stone throwing yobs sorted, prompted by the additional need to have my left rear alloy refurbished after clipping a kerb during a 'tootle' down an unfamiliar country road in the dark last night :o Hopefully they will be able to sort it, don't fancy having to pay for a new one.

Looks good. What did it set you back for that? I've got probably a bit more damage but spread over 3 areas. Then there's the wheel......

Hope it will be significantly cheaper than the laughable quote from the Skoda dealer for the work.

Just over

Did have a ChipsAway guy come to look at my car, and he was punctual and honest in saying it would be best done in a bodyshop, which I think shows a good deal of professionalism (rather than just trying to botch it).

Probably would be a different franchise (North Manchester rather than South Manchester), but definitely worth a go IMHO... :)

Cheers Guys. I'll be in touch with them tommorrow.

Had a local chips away guy spray a thumbnail size chip on the rear spoiler on my old Alfa 156. Did a perfect job on a difficult to match high metallic Cosmos Blue paint.

Cost around

I'm in South Manchester and have used them a couple of times. Is the guy Ian someone? If so you'll have no problems, he's a bit of a perfectionist TBH. Did spend a lot of time & effort on the jobs I've had done.

Good luck with it.

Steve
