First thing to do is get a meter on it to see if you have power to it.

It could be a wire adrift....

My cigarette lighter stopped charging too, I checked the fuse and upon visual inspection it looked perfectly fine. I decided to change it anyway as I had a spare lying around and it fixed it so maybe try swapping the fuse over just to make sure.

some sat nav chargers have a fuse on the side too, my tomtom one does.

No power is getting to the socket. Have swapped the fuse with another which still hasnt fixed it :(

My last Fabia had been owned by a smoker and the lighter socket was shot. Had to have it replaced. :(

I just got one of these.

It even has a green LED. One simply has to co ordinate... :D

I've fitted a cable to it and then heat shrunk the whole thing.

Its going in as a permanent source of power for my sat nav.

Not for the faint hearted as I will have to take a drill and hole saw to my dash to make an aperture for it.

As I plan to keep my furby til it turns up its toes I don't mind doing it.

I am poxed off with the charger for my sat nav getting knocked by my leg and disconnectimg...

STUPID place for a cigarette lighter in any case. What were they thinking...

That way I can use my cigarette lighter for it's intended purpose..

Much safer than using a gas filled lighter on the move.

I have a beard and have often nearly set my face on fire...
