Memory 2 Premature Re-Set?

Featured Replies

I picked up mine on the 7 of July and it did reset itself when it reached +/- 4250km (last week) CB-2

The 20 hour drive it wasn´t, a few day after pick up did over 12 hours of driving in 2 days.

I bought a Sept. 09 Octavia Elegance 1898cc DSG Saloon in May 2010.

Non Maxidot.

When delivered the dealer had zeroed both mem 1 and mem 2.

After approx 1000mls I noticed that mem 2 had zeroed, I don't know exactly when either in miles or hours.

Since then and having read these posts I have kept a better note and in the last 2000 mls mem 2 has reset twice both at approx. 750 mls.

I spoke to the dealer and they have had no information on this issue. Today I took it to the dealer and they had it for over an hour and as expected found no fault.

They have sent a DISS report to Skoda.

I rang Skoda Customer Services on 0845 7745745 and ran into a blank wall!

1. They have no info. on this issue.

2. They couldn't / wouldn't pass me on to Technical people. "They are not customer facing"!!!

3. The dealer has done the right thing by sending a DISS and I should wait to hear from them.

4. They take no notice / interest in what people write on these forums.

Sorry if this is a bit long but I have tried to give the full picture.

Skoda UK are not interested. They say mem 2 is supposed to reset at 20 hrs . They also say the manual was printed incorrectly.

I think the Diss report will say the same as mine. Nothing can be done.

Sorry to be negative but I have done this to death with Skoda and they don't care.

I don't believe them and I think they should care.

I am right in thinking that some cars are doing what it says in the manual?

20hrs is useless.

What else doesn't work that they don't care about!!

Thank you for the reply.
