Im from the Cambridge area and own a yellow skoda octavia VRS and am in the process of doing up a Skoda Fun Pickup, which is also yellow.

I perchased this some time ago but have had some significant delays and issues. Im putting a larger engine in, modifying the body, brakes, lights, wheels, seats and interior.

I want to fit 280mm front disks but the callipers - designed for smaller disks - dont reach the hub so cant be bolted on. An adaptor/link plate would solve this problem but would be under some considerable stress, so probably not the best idea. The garage have recomended (or had recomended to them) Porsche callipers that would be big enough to reach the hubs. As nice as that would look it will be very pricey. Does anyone have any ideas? Cheaper suitable callipers perhaps?
