That's really handy - great timing.

I was looking at this myself just earlier today and wondering how to get the cover off so I can have a go at pushing out the slight ding I inflicted on the boot lid yesterday.

 Don't do this unless you really have to. I just removed the inner boot lid lining to see if I could push out a minor ding in the boot lid (I couldn't). It was a devil of a job getting it back, I broke a couple of the clips and cut my arm. I'm sure it's not back in 100% (not including the now missing clips) and I fear it will never be quite right again. I have yet to drive it to see if I've created a rattle!

Regards,

Jon

Sound piece of advise, since the washer pipe could be disconnected in another place instead... look behind the carpet in the boot on the left towards

where the spring loaded load hook is.

This is where mine came apart a few months ago.

Might also be an idea to pickup the new clips available from the dealer to help prevent it occuring again.

many thanks for this as i removed the inner lining of hatchback and had to buy new clips and take it to a panel specialists to put it back

i guess i must just have a special touch, because i've had it off a couple of times and broken nothing. you do feel like getting all caveman with it and wrenching it off, but provided you know where the clips are, a little firm pressure works wonders.

Is this a common problem? I bought my car a week or so ago and the rear wash wasn't working properly. If I pressed the lever, very little water came out of the nozzzle and after trying a number of times, water started running onto the ground underneath the left rear corner. Today, I investigated the cause, and after removing all the inside panels in the left rear corner ( my car is an estate) I found that an in line coupling had separated and the washer fluid was filling up the inside of the car, eventually to discharge through a breather hole. The worrying thing was that there were two multi pin electrical connectors immersed in the fluid. I dried everything out, used swittch cleaner and wd40 on the connectors and reassembled, after using self amalgamating tape to hold the in line coupling together. If I start getting random faults on the rear lights/electrics, at least I will know where to look!

I had to re-connect the pipe in the right side of the boot twice before wiring the 2 parts together - I now wait for the pipe to come apart somewhere else more inconvenient! I also have the CD changer and have found it impossible to identify the parts numbers for the trim clips that secure the carpet around the CD changer rack - has anyone got any suggestions? I tried some generic trim clips but none have been the correct diameter so far.
