hey there, just a quickie about some wheels. just bought a set of alloys from ebay in an attempt to make my fabia look a little nicer.

so, the question is...these rims are 7 inches wide. andddd fabia VRS rims are 6.5. will they fit on my car?

theyre 16s by the way. any help appreciated as i dont want to mess the guy around.

and before anyone says, yes i know i should have checked this out before :p

Do you have stock 288mm brakes or have you upgraded to 312mm?

I'm pretty sure if you have upgraded your brakes these wheels won't fit with 312mm brakes on,otherwise i think you will be fine.

as far as i know it;s just stock brakes, i know i havent done anything to them so, all should be good! pretty excited about these bad boys

Cheers for the help guys! Finally I will have a car to be even more proud of. Now I just have to wait until my insurers will let me drop it and put discs on all round

yes rob they are the 16" BBS splits. Picked them up last night and they're in glorious condition, much better than I expected. The tyres are brand new pretty much too! Getting them fitted tomorrow so expect pictures soon.

One other question, will the jump from 14s to 16s have any effect on fuel economy/ride etc? I don't know a lot about the subject but I'm guessing as it's a much lower profile tyre on there it shouldn't make much difference as the overall size hasn't changed dramatically. Just a thought.
