VRS Turbo questions

Featured Replies

Hey my turbo blew last week and im looking to get a replacment but i have a question befor i buy one,

there are 3 numbers on the turbo which are

038 253 016 5 v111

ff 5053324 00238

kp39b - 0012

And my engine code is ASZ

Its a kkk turbo (n) probs why its broke

WHat garret turbo will fit on?

I guess i need one of an ASZ engine not a BLT engine but what about the rest of the numbers

And if anyones selling one that will fit please e-mail me at [email protected]

Thanks for the help in advance :)

isn't it a Garret GT1749v on the PD130 engines? PD150/160 turbo would also go on

Well mine came with the KKK one so if i got the Garret gt 1749v that would deffo fit on ok?

Nothing wrong with KKK turbos, my first done 120000 miles, my second is on 90000, i`m planning to get my third kkk hybrid this year.

true. but he was asking which Garret turbo that would be a direct fit for his Fabia vRS.

Not sure on the numbers, but it needs to be a specific one I think, especially if you need the manifold

Hmm so if i make sure i get one of the same engine code as mine ASZ it should fit right?

I have just had a KKK Hybrid fitted by Ali at Unit 18. He bought the turbo from Turbo Technics in Northampton. It was buttons more than the standard KKK and apparently a much stronger Turbo.

The car seems to run perfectly on it

I've just had my turbo replaced on my fabia vrs (asz engine) after 110k, it too was a kkk!.

I was advised to go garrett for the reasons listed above, not sure about part no.s. but the guy's at the turbo center seem to know what is what!

The garrett isnt a str8 fit, apparently the orientation of the turbo on the manifold is different. something to do with the oil feed pipe - this is also advised to be changed as sumtimes they are ceased and break!

All i did was take the old turbo and manifold etc along with me, they took it out back, stuck it in a vice, got measurements, and then altered the orientation of the new turbo.

Hey presto! out with the kkk in with the garrett! was advised that there might be slightly more lag on boost, but a remap would soon sort! (which is my intention any way), however that said once fitted didnt feel any difference!

The garrett turbo cost me £485 +vat ( BRAND NEW standard turbo with 3yr warranty) but for another £200 will hybrid it! their suggestion would be to change the compressor wheel, to that of a saab 2.3

they have a deal goin with a garage round the corner from them who charge £200 to remove and fit! not bad price to be fair if your unable to do the work yourself - like me! u also get free service (oil change) to validate warranty for turbo!!!

they'll gladly answer any questions! call 01924 404112 or email [email protected] web www.turbocentreuk.co.uk
