I don't base this on anything other than you've got a hell of a lot for your 18.5k. Try getting that spec on any other marque for under 25k. Horror stories? Burst your dealer if you have ANY issues.

No, you haven't done the right thing, should have been a Race Blue Hatch

DPF is an issue whatever manufacturer you go for these days... Bloody emissions targets, but if you do motorway runs etc. then you'll be fine.

Go to a forum for pretty much any manufacturer and you'll find a disproportionate number of complaints... People ask for help when things go wrong, but don't generally ask for help when everything is working fine... Just look at the JD Power results for the last decade and see where Skoda finished

DPF Issues

We had DPF issues in the first 6 weeks, as we do mostly short city runs. But I've also changed fuel supplier - I really supect dirty fuel as much as the DPF as the problem. And I know now that, if the DPF warning light comes on it's really saying "take me for a motorway run now, do not stop, do not pass go..."

You don't have to NEED an estate - it's as good (if not better) to look at as the hatch.

It's a good point, is that (I mean about the estate) I liked the red, but didnt want one myself
