Ball joints

The service last week pointed out the NS ball joint is worn. I've seen Febi Bilsteins at about £10 and Lemfoerderererererers for double the price. Is there a huge difference? I always thought the Febi Bilstein stuff to be good quality...

Being a ball joint I'd get the OE ones (Lemforder) personally.

I got my ball joints from Skoda, as I wanted to ensure I had the best quality parts available. I think it's a false economy buying cheapo suspension parts, because there is no doubt that they wear out quicker. Febi is not the OEM for the balljoints, so they will be pattern parts.

Pattern parts are ok,if there isnt much of a price difference id go for genuine parts, over the years i have fitted pattern parts to all my cars & never had a problem, you do get what you pay for,the quality of most pattern parts is as good as genuine nowadays.id avoid the cheap shI8te that appears on e bay but go to a well known motor factor or online supplier & you will be fine!

Cheers chaps, Lemforder it is, at the end of the day it's only £10 difference, a small price for OEM parts.
