OK folks

Thorne meet IV - Sat 17 April

Meeting 1pm at The Punch Bowl, Fieldside, Thorne, DN8 4BE

Just off J6 M18

So easy reach from Hull / Leeds /Sheffield /Grimsby /Lincoln /Nottingham

Meet at 1pm, bite to eat, then a "scenic" drive....

the scenery might be a bit flat!

But it does take in Three Counties, albeit you might blink and miss one of them!

Phil said to mention the cheap food, so don't forget the cheap food!

I think you have missed some vital info from the first thread Darren!

The fact that there is cheap good grub at the pub. They usually have a special deal on £3.99 specials including nice sausage and mash and gammon etc.

Not sure if we will beat our 15 cars of last time.

Plus there are a few non-skodas coming which is pretty poor! (me included i know!)

I was thinking of coming to this meet, but then looked on my calender and there is race meeting at Croft on that weekend, so I will be in Orange overalls there instead, sorry mate.

If anyone is interested from this section, there is a driver around the North Yorkshire Moors with lunch at the Lion Inn on Blakely Ridge organised for Sunday 2nd of May if anyone is interested, see thread in the NE Section.

I do, however, Karin & my mum might have other ideas, especially as Karin is coming over for my mum's birthday!

They both like the North York Moors, however, Karin has a Vmax of 50mph & my mum is limited to 35mph.

Still, it would give you all something to overtake!

Oh good, that means one scamera van is accounted for,

as they usually like to be parked on the M180

getting away fans as they arrive (Eastbound before the Trent)

& then later as they leave (on the westbound just after the Trent).

Not that we'll be using the M180 anyway.

FOZ1 drove my route for this meet the other day from a few scribbled email instructions,

he seemed to follow it ok.

I've driven it again tonight and there's no signs to highlight any planned roadworks

or closures on Saturday so we're ok I think.

Been to the pub too, so they're aware we're coming.
