Fiscon Handsfree

Featured Replies

Need to have a handsfree unit fitted into my new Superb (if it ever arrives).

Fancied the Fiscon because of the intergration into the car, however I do swap between phones whilst on the move. Currently have a Parrot 3200 which is easy to swap whilst someone is waiting to talk to me.

The guy that fits my car kits believes that the Fiscon unit is not at all friendly in this manner and that I would have to do the disconnection and re connection through the phones.

He reccomends the new Parrot CKI9200, which he believes can be set up to work through my MFSW but I would still need the additional screen.

The Parrot has much greater music capabilaties, but I have line in for my Ipod, so I am not too worried about this point, my main concern is ease of use of the handsfree unit.

Anybody have either of these units, in particular the Fiscon basic plus, is there a trick to swapping between phones or is this kit a no go as far as this is concerned.

I have the Fiscon and you do have to swap using the phones. I just forward work's phone to my phone so incoming calls come through to the one connected to the kit... If I need to make an outgoing call on works phone, then my bluetooth headset gets switched on and attached to my ear for the call...

I'm assuming there is an additional box to allow the Parrot to be controlled by the steering wheel controls. I know they manufacture one for several makes of car as I seriously considered that for the company Saab I have before getting the vRS. It was another £100 or so on top of the Parrot kit but would have let me use the steering wheel controls...
