Just ordered 140 TDI elegance in steel grey, rough road package - thats it. Are there any must have extras I should get - spare tyre etc?

Any advice much appreciated. Also when do you all think the car will actually arrive - dont beleive the dealer.

Congrats - I went for spare tyre, TPMS (if you're going to use on "rough roads" would make sense ?).

I also went for sunroof - dear, but a great bit of kit.

Whats he quoted you? A lot is going to depend on wether its a factory order or one that already in production.

Hi and welcome to the forum and SMOC,

if she's already in the pipe-line delivery should not take long; new build, you could be looking at 2 to 4 months depending on spec.

Regard options; as others have suggested if she a new build factory order, then TPM (Tyre Pressure Monitor) and a spare (if you don't need the extra boot space) would be on my list. The Sunroof is very nice but expensive and appears to delay a new build delivery.

PS would recommend the rough road pack even if your 'not' rough roading, prefer myself to have a steel engine under-tray as plastic is prone to coming away (applies to diesel only, petrols don't have an under-tray as standard) and the stonegaurd tape on the rear doors works a treat.

hi we ordered our 1.2 tsi s spec on thursday, in platinum grey( dealer said steel grey was now called platinum same as europe)....also advised theres a 16 week wait :'( ....only been 3 days and im going mad lol :p

yeh at least ur dealer is being honest. I was told 6-8 weeks, then 12 weeks. It's been 8 weeks and i reckon it will probably actually end up being 16 weeks.

not sure if i can wait 16 weeks lol.. :(
