thats exactly what i would do too

nope half way is low lol right down and you wont be able to drive it.

mine is wound down to about half way and i onl have about 2 inch of clearence at the front bumper lol couldnt even get down my mates drive lol

so start at half way and see what you think.

yes all the way down is too far depends on the wheels you have had fitted, since i have fitted 18s i have had to raise the suspension slightly to stop rubbing on the arch lip due to the offset of the new wheels.

Yeah agreed, if you wind them right down it'll probably drive crap too! It's not the best for the driveshafts or track rod ends!

I've got mine about half way too, and I can fit a sideways fist under the bumper, but that's it.

Mate of mine had a 35mm drop on a set of Weitecs last summer while we were in Germany and since then they've settled and it's even more low, to the point that the arches have been mis-shapen by the wheels on full lock, so I would say don't drop it too much!

it is lowered 35mm at the min and sits far to high for my liking. at the min it has 18s on but hopefully there not stopping ;) will try halfway and see how it goes then cheers

im hardly around our area now mate (well only for 1 week at a time) its all motorway then park up and leave for 4 weeks :D:thumbup:

Std ride hight on 18"

On Weitec gt lowered bit more than half way. just so the collar is beside the tyre(ie to adj you need to remove the wheels)

DSC00181.jpg

Slightly raised as before was very choppy and the handling was not really that good, plus the ride was crap.

Still on Weitecs but raised so the front wishbones are nearly level.(cant go level as it will be std hight and look poo) unfortunatly I havnt got a pic of it but its a slight bit higher than the one above.

Ride is a lot better than before and the handling is damn good too. its amazing how much better it is just by lifting it up that little bit.

Dont go too low as the only good thing is the looks but it wont drive nice and will be out performed by std susp if you go too far.

tis up to you tho at the end lol.

a trail and error type scenario :) ive got plenty of time im at work till the 26th before i have to use it again :thumbup:

I have mine wound down more than half way! You get a great stance but speed bumps and any dip or imperfection in the road causes lots of scraping noises!

still on the original sump though :D

Had mine lowered so top of tyres were level with the arch but very choppy on bumpy lanes, bottoming out quite regular, have raised the front two turns of the lower ring and its spot on, handles a lot better too, dont sacrifice looks for handling imo.

Pfft!

You need to lower it till you think you're low enough. Then wind it down another inch!

Same as mine.

I raised mine slightly and than lowered back some.

The rear looks like mine, but your front is higher. You need to get the stance so car is pointing downwards to the front. You know this when you take a look at the sills. I would take the front down 10 - 15mm not sure it looks like 35mm lowered at the front. All i know is my weitecs only have 25mm thread left at the bottom from the spring platform, so i think that is more then half way.

and it was ok?? no knocking or anything??

It rubbed the front arches on full lock, but other than that it was largely ok.

The rears rubbed a little on the motorway, but then they were 9" wide wheels on 20mm spacers so it will depend on your wheels and offsets.

they are 8x18 et 37 225/45/18 tyres

but thats with kwv3 and they go no where near as low as the weitecs

i had mine nearly wound all the way down on the kwv3s and the weitecs wich are lower are at half way lol

so you cant really use it as an example
