Front bumper.

Featured Replies

Hello,

Bought myself a skoda fabia vRs last week.

I borrowed the car to the father, he drove the car into a space and waited for the front tyres to hit the kerb

The kerb was higher than regulation states and when he reversed a black plastic bar was pulled off and the washer bottle had burst.

I want to know what the black plastic bit is called and how much would i be looking for a replacement. I am not sure what it is called but i know it was connected to the bumper.

A quick responce would be gratefull as it is going into the garage this afternoon and don't want to be ripped off.

Thank you

Jonny

no it isn't a splitter..

But in the 6th picture on that link in the top right hand corner that is it. runs underneath the radiator from what i can see.

Not having a vRS, this is guess work, but I would assume its the undertray/ splash guard. But not 100% on that.

i think from looking at pictures it is the front panel.. not 100% but that is the closest i can see.

If it's a Skoda dealer/garage they should know anyway.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi, I've just looked at mine and it appears to be the bit that the under tray locates on. It looks separate to both the bumper and the under tray so fingers crossed you can get it without the whole under tray. Sorry I don't know how much they are though.

Well if i am right i have priced the two new parts on ebay. and i can get them for around £70. The garage has contacted me asking for £380

So i know not to let them carry on with the work. if they want £310 just for labour costs.

The problem is the closest skoda garage is around 15 miles away. it is currently in a seat garage where i bought the car from.
