Locking wheelnut tool

Featured Replies

I've lost my locking wheelnut tool/adaptor, how or where can I get a replacement???

I sent the wife to the local Skoda dealer and they've sold her a complete set of 4 bolts with new adaptor which doesnt help as I've still got the old ones holding the wheels on and no have a tool to remove them!!!!

Ps Wife isnt simple and knows what was needed before any obvious wife related jokes popup...lol

The car is an 05 VRS Fabia if that helps any?

Thakns

I would go back to the dealer and ask them to remove the old locking bolts. I could be wrong but I think the standard Skoda locking bolts are fairly basic and there are only about a dozen different combinations, and the dealer should have all the removal tools for the different possiblities.

Failing that try your local tyre fittng place or independent garage. For other suggestions take a look here

I think my intentions are misread....I dont want the dealer to swap the bolts for me I would like to keep the ones on nthe car return the ones they sold me and simple buy the tool adaptor ie the small tyre leaver adaptor tool.

Can this be bought individually?

Sorry, I see what you mean now. If I'm right about the locks then I'm pretty sure your dealer should be able to order the removal socket for you. Your best bet is to give the parts department a quick call and see what they can do for you.

A replacement key can be ordered but there is normally a number stamped on the key which you should take a number of

Obviously you cant as its been lost.

Best option would be to go to the dealer and see if they are able to order you a new key. Most likely not.

Get them to take the old ones out and fit the new ones, and make sure you take a note of the number this time around ;)

Skoda dealers can only remove the locking bolts if they are Skoda parts. They won't have master keys if non Skoda.
