Knocking noise from passenger door

Featured Replies

Sometimes when I hit a bump or hole in the road I get a knock from the passenger door like the sound you get when the door is not properly closed. The door is closed fully. The car is only 3 weeks old. Going to dealer next week but wondering if anyone else has had this problem arise and what the problem was.

Could well be the hidden umbrella thats in the rear passenger door making the noise.

Thanks for the suggestion. Actually took it out already wondering if it was causing the noise but unfortunately not. Noise persisted.

I also thought I had a rattle from the rear door. It was in fact from the central pull down armrest when in the down position. It never happened with passengers in the rear as any weight on the armrest stopped the rattle.

Might not be related, but my dealer has had to take the 'B' pillar trim apart and the drivers door to find a similar knocking and creaking noise (but on the drivers side) in my car which is now six weeks old with 3500 miles on it, they had the car in for an afternoon and sorted the problem out. Cheers
