Fabia 1.4 mpi on BBS Splits

Featured Replies

Hey guys, been kicking around here for a month or two now, so it's about time i threw up some pictures of my vehicle.

It's a standard 1.4 8v, debadged and on 16" BBs splits from a MK3 anniversary.

I spent around 5 hours cleaning it today, so it's looking nice and shiney. although, i must have missed a trick with claying, cause there's still swirling :(

I was hoping to get rid of these scratches today, they're better, but still there.

this is after a rinse, shampoo, clay and wax

This is the only angle at which it looks like i stuck this on straight :(

Another hour on the wheels with some G3 polishing compound and a toothbrush.

put some tyre blacker on too

so, what do you think guys? i know it needs lowering a little and that i have VW centre caps, but all in good time.

cheers for your time!

Do like those, got some very simular on my Polo, think they look good.

See if you can get some new mirror covers, should finish it off nicely if you can get some in blue.

A lower ride height is never a bad thing over the standard suspension either IMO!

Very nice, looks good

nice wheels

Nice wheels mate I like it , same colour as mine as well!

Mirror covers sounds like a good idea. I'm thinking about trying to wodge a sharks fin ariel on too, like you see on more recent beamers. Could I just paint that, and my mirrors blue. Get some halfrauds paint?

About the lowering thing, been chatting to my sisters boyfriend who really knows his **** and he reckons I'll just ruin the handling and feel of the car. What d'you think? I wouldn't go crazy, I'm only thinking around 40mm on springs. Unless I can afford coilies by some miracle. It'll have to wait til my insurance has dropped a bit too :(

cheers for the comments guys! :)

Mirrors would need sanding down, priming, painting then lacquering (sp?) at a guess, but no real idea. I think someone on here did one recently, see if I can find it.

claying alone does not remove swirling, you need to buff the car with a good polish to remove the swirling then apply the wax

Ah right, that'll be the trick I'm missing then! So, I have AG super resin polish, farclea g10 and g3. What do you suggest? Anddd are we talking application with a machne polisher?

Cheers for all the comments guys!
