The thing I don't like about the vRS Is the fact the bumper Is much lower than the side of the car & also the fact you can see the jacking sill. The Skoda range hasn't been blessed with many styling options & I found these sideskirts. What do you think to them? I haven't fitted them, but just stuck them In place for the photo's, but please imagine them silver not black. All comments welcome.

i completly agree that something needs to be done about the sill height i think they look to chav imo, sorry

They look smart. I would have them on mine

They do need painting though! and you need to paint front calipers green to match rears

Thanks for the comment.

The front brakes are Porsche 4pot calipers that I bought through Ben @ Sharkperformance & tbh they look so much better In red. I've got the rear calipers to paint red soon.

Just miss read the question  . The sideskirts are http://www.superskoda.com/octavia-i/side-skirts/skoda-octavia-side-skirts-abs-dynamic

I know what you are saying, but the Skoda range hasn't been catered for very well with the styling companies. These are the best I have found & now my jacking sills are bent to buggery I want them hidden.

Red is common every man and his dog have red, it will look better green ,two of us think so far anyway

Are they fitted the wrong way around?

Think they'd look OK in silver to match. Not sure about that twist effect though - aren't straight ones available ?

Yes they are the correct way round

No straight ones aren't available otherwise I would have bought them. The only ones are available that look ok are these http://www.superskoda.com/octavia-i/side-skirts/skoda-octavia-side-skirts-v2-abs-dynamic. DSmithmobile (spelt correctly??) has them fitted to his.

well i went to that site and found straight looking ones

just look a bit too bulky i reckon, but if your hiding the bent jacking points then must look better surely

I was thinking about this the other day too! Totally agree that the ugly sill lip should be covered like on most other cars. Mine are all squashed at the front and it bothers me everytime I wash the car and step back from it.

I was wondering if the 5 door R32 side skirts would fit? Maybe they could be modified to fit if not.

Oggy, I think size wise they look good, and the crease isn't ideal, but not that bad. The other shape that dsmithmobile has are OK but I think they are too bulbous looking. If only there was a half way house between the two! It's pretty hard to see what they're like though when they're not painted. I say keep them and get them painted, then see how you feel after a month.

I see you've had to remove the front mudflaps to fit them on. I removed all four of my mudflaps last weekend, and I think the car looks much better without them. Much cleaner looking. I'll get some pics up.

i think the car needs sideskirts but like the others have said they need to be smaller and not twisted

i personally think your car will look silly with these on buddy dont spoil a top motor you have

dsmithmobiles are nice but again if they did them that little bit smaller i think they would look ace.

Thanks,

I agree with what you said about those skirts that Dan has fitted, but IMO they suit his car especially as he has flaired his arches out, but I know they won't suit mine.

The front mudflap had to be removed, but I do plan on modding them somehow to fit If/when I get the S/skirts fitted.

IMO they stick out way to far.... and will prob get scratched by passengers scraping shoe heels across them.

But you've got me thinking, I've got some brand new genuine Ford XR4x4 side skirts in the loft :p

mm they are nice, thats all it really needs

Jabba had some skirts FS didnt they? a month or so ago?

the golf ones look a lot better

I'll measure the missus' Golf sills tomorrow, compare em to the Octi and let ya know ;)
