lambda plug connections

Featured Replies

Hi

My octavia recently start misfire and engine warning light on dash. I know the fault is lambda 1 sensor and i know the plugs are under a pannel inside the drivers area but i am unable to find them. Any ideas? i have been told to remove the centre console.

Thank you james

Assuming we're talking about the same thing, the lambda sensors are in the exhaust - they connect under the car underneath the driver's seat.

I'm afraid that I can't offer any help - other than the Haynes manual says follow the leads from the probes, but that's not necessarily as easy as it sounds. Anyway, sounds like Rob has it covered.

But, I would like to know how you found out it was the lambda 1 sensor (which I am assuming is the engine side of the cat?). I only ask because I have the same warning light pop up with the same engine and an error code hinting at the probes and the garage say they can't tell which probe it is. I'm hoping that the misfire means it's lambda 1 so if there is no misfire it's more likely to be lambda 2?

Cheers

Rob
