I just got a 2007 MKII VRS TFSI, and i'm having a problem with the MFD. Sometime (about once every two days) when i press the rocker button for the MFD, nothing happens, for about 7-8 seconds then tries to preform all the functions. then when you get into setup, and press the o.k reset button to go back, it moves the icon up, and i have to try this a couple of times and then it works fine.

Once this fixes itself, the MFD and buttons on the wiper stalk are fine, and function perfectly

Any ideas, is it the stalk, or the MFD or the software

That's an interesting one, I've not seen it before.

Its probably the cluster itself by the sounds of things but I'm only guessing. I don't see how it could be any other link in the chain.
