At last i grabbed the bull by the horns and made 2 hours free on saturday and fitted my new addition to my vrs. It looks the muts nuts!

Interested in doing this myself. What are your thoughts on this as a DIY job?

I am guessing the "WOW" is about looks and piece of mind rather than performance gains as heatsoak shouldn't be too much of a problem recently.

If your diy minded then yes its easy, I am a technician by trade so it was prety straight forward for me, i found that the cars performance hasnt realy increased but the turbo definately feels to be holding better boost (poss due to the fact its now getting unrestricted colder air flow). Try it i dont think you will be dissapointed. The beauty about forge is they put a lot of time and effort into there products and it definately shows in there workmanship, the intercooler is made for a perfect fit, Plus the fact if you ever want to put it back to stock its easy. Cheers Phil, you hit the point - taking the plastic off the car isn't an issue; it is about the Forge fittings and brackets and if they are a true fit that doesn't involve 'percussion adjustment', a Doc Martin and a trip to B&Q

Yes, the 'Twintercooler' is a twin core design that adds to the existing intercooler rather than replaces it. There is more info on the Forge website:
