Gas gauge/light issue

Featured Replies

So, America doesn't sell Skoda at ALL! But, they do sell VW.

I live in Ukraine and had to buy a car, after driving Skoda - I never want to drive another car - I love it, seriously!

I WISH America had Skoda!

First time forum post - EVER!

2007 Skoda Octavia A5 Mk2 - 1.6L

I do have a couple issues (problems)

1. Gas gauge doesn't work.

2. Gas light is lit constantly - even though I have a full tank of gas.

3. Seems to eat gas.

4. Where to buy factory radio?

Any help would be great! - Especially since most dealers or other shops in Ukraine either you have to pay a bribe, or they don't really do the work and still charge you, or they put after parts in and don't tell you. Basically you are ripped off in Ukraine constantly.

Thanks and keep on driving!

Mr. S.

1 and 2 are linked together, so if the gauge shows empty then the light will be on. There is a float in the fuel tank, which I guess is either stuck in the empty position or has failed in some other way.

3) Whats the range on each tank currently and your driving style (heavy traffic, town driving etc.)

4) I was going to suggest dealer, but looking at what you post later who know what you will end up with. Rather than get the correct radio, I would suggest an aftermarket system, get one with a removable front for security, and get the official single din mounting kit from a dealer.
