Where is the vag com HELP

Featured Replies

Hi, i'v got a vag com for my car, where do i find the connector on the car? On the octavia if was under the steering wheel but on the fabia I just can't find it.

Please help

Flip down storage compartment under steering wheel to the right. Pull open then pull down completely (with a little force) to reveal the socket (there's a pic somewhere on the forums).

NOOO you dont use brute force! theres a little latch type hanger in the middle of the upper roof of that compartment door. use brute force first time but dont keep yanking it open when you find out what im on about, just push the holding tab upwards (away from floor) and it will swing open to reveal its goods.

I thought it looked like that bit was designed to flex in order to open, if you look at the bit between the latch and the compartment. Will bear what you say in mind in future anyway and try open it that way instead of my usual force down :)

Ok, just wondering i'v got a scanner, it's got an OBD2 connector on it but I can't get it to connect, keeps saying error, my laptop talks to the box but the box wont talk to the car, how annoying, have to take it to the garage anyway i guess

Ignition on?

Ignition on x 2..!! Check the vagcom map, might be someone local to you who will do it a hell of a lot cheaper/free than a garage!
