My Grandad with his 1owner from new 8yr old Lada the day he p/x it for a Fiat Uno, in the 8yrs he owned it nothing broke & only ever had regular servicing & wear/tear items replacing.  Sadly it never saw another road after he part exchanged on the day of the picture.

My Grandad used to take me to Elvington Airfield & taught me to drive in his Uno, it always makes me smile when I see these pictures, such memorable times

Which never saw another road after px? The Uno or the Lada?

If the lada, that is a shame. They are indestructible auld yokes :(

Sadly the Lada.

I remember having the odd weekend at my Grandparents house and being taken from York to Morley in it, driving up the A64 around 55mph (it didn't like going any faster) & the play in the steering was laughable .  It felt like a tank and went like a tank :)

Fun fact NOVA in Spanish means NOT GOING so would explain why they changed the name to CORSA to stop all the jokes. Bit like people moving the letters on the Ford coupe to CRAPI.:tongueout:
