Removed my DEH9400MP pioneer to see if I can change the ribbon for the face mechanism myself. Proving a right nightmare to try and do.... That's about 1.5kg out. Also removed both rear woofers / trims - 2kg in total I think. Looking a bit bare and no tunes for a while now - just the engine/exhaust to listen to......[ear defenders on standby]

Lol . I Went through a drastic weight loss programme with my S1 rallye no trim, no back seats, cage . No sound deadening. Just cage and harnesses and pugsport exhaust. Took my dad out in it and he told me it was like driving a biscuit tin full of scaffolding, with a Wellington bomber chasing us.

Its worth it though...

sounds like my brothers nova 2 buckets 2 harness a speedo and rev counter and half a dash thats it no carpet no door cards glovebox passanger side dash goes like **** off a shovel (2L red top) but my dad wont get in it and he is less than nice about it

Got a replacement stereo to go in whilst the DEH is under repair. It's in a box in the car now as it happens

Rear speakers will probably not go back in now though - Wondering if I can cut & shut the two plugs that go to the rear woofers, as they are the same colour.

Because its not a long journey once you do the dramatic weight loss stuff You get there quicker
