A2DP is not supported by any skoda kit.

How did you pair your phone, if the phone option is not in the menu.

All the setup functions & SMS of my bolero / phone are done via the maxidot...

The Maxidot display is the large display between the speedo and tachometer that is accessed via the wiper control stalk.

Do you have a Maxidoit display?

sure i have the Maxidot

i was saying why i dont have that , i ment the sms function the bluetooth settings on the Maxidot ..that i don't have

When I installed my Fiscon Bluetooth it was exactly the same as this, and that was because I had to have the Phone function enabled with Vag-Com/VCDS before I could access the Phone menu in Maxidot. Is your bluetooth factory fit or an upgrade? If the latter, perhaps however installed it forgot to code it into your system for you. You should try to find someone with the diagnostic hookup and software to see if it needs to be enabled.

no mine is the factory fit .. :S

Good evening.

I cant help with your question, but I am still confused over what I need to order to get my phone working.

Do I just need to order the bluetooth steering wheel, or is there somehting else.

Also, if it is already part of the stereo, do I need to order the specific steerting wheel, as at the moment on my 407 I dont use the steering wheel.

thanks in advance.

AFAIA you need the MFSW & the bluetooth module to be fitted for any of it to work.

As far as I know everyone gets the BT audio option, whether they have bluetooth installed or not...

None of the current VAG kits support A2DP. The revised one fitted from week 22, 2010 does though I believe. The option is in the menu because its supported by the Bolero, but it will still be there even if you dont have bluetooth fitted. The Bluetooth kit is an additional box and not part of the bolero headunit.

So the issue is in the factory fit bluetooth kit :S

is there any thing can be done to change that ? may be order another kit from skoda , or using another car kit will be more helpfull ?

and where dose that bluetooth box is fitted ?

The Skoda bluetooth box is under the driver's seat. The Fiscon Basic Plus that I have does support A2DP, but the sound quality isn't as good as playing MP3s directly on the Bolero through MP3 CD or SD card...

In theory the Fiscon allows you to read messages on the Maxidot display and reply to them with stock (uneditable) messages such as "I'll call you back" or "I'm driving" etc...however on my N97 I've found that synchronisation of messages can be sporadic, sometimes it will display them and others it will say "no messages". This may be due to the phone having 2 locations on which it can store SMS (C: and D:), it may be that the Fiscon can only see C:, and then can only see them if the N97 itself is set to use C:...this is something I have still got to explore further...

mmmm so what do u think

is it worth it to change to GSMIII for the sake of sms reading while driving ? or shall one settle with factory fit GSM II ?? :wonder:

These must be very important sms is they must be read while you are driving and can't wait. Is this some sort of urgent business requirement?

  • Author

no its not for business reasons, but its to complete the hands-free function, not to pull the phone from my pocket to see who sent me sms , especially on long drives

  • 5 months later...

Sorry to revive an old thread, I have an Octy FL with the GSM 3 and a paired up HD2, I have the greyed out BT option on the Bolereo, how to I get it working??! Manual is useless!
