Fabia vRS ltd Ed Throttle pedal

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

I've not really stopped by this forum for a while now, but I was hoping that someone with a Fabia vRS limited edition could help me out quickly.

I took mine in for a bit of work last week, the engine revs at idle was a little erratic (up to 1400rpm at times). The skoda garage diagnosed it as a faulty throttle pedal, and decided to replace it, which they duly did. The revs problem is now sorted, so top marks for that. However, I have noticed that the throttle pedal they have put in, just has a textured black plastic front (where your foot goes). Now I can't for the life of me remember if this is what the vRS came with, or whether the original pedal had the metal/rubber pad type pedal that looks a bit nicer. I know the brake and clutch pedal have the metal/rubber pads on, and that they are just held in place with a rubber backing clip thingy, so I am hlaf thinking that they have forgotten to put it back on again.

So, can anyone tell me what their vRS throttle pedal looks like? I could do with knowing before I go back to the garage and ask them to put the right pedal on there.....

Cheers

Andy

They should look like the rest of them, metal plate with horizontal rubber lines for grip.

That's what I thought, although my mind has been playing tricks on me! I don't often look at the pedals you see, my feet get in the way :) Thanks for confirming though, much appreciated. Do you happen to know if the metal/rubber bit is a clip on cover, or is it an integral part of the pedal?

I'm going to see what the garage say now, I can't wait for the excuse....

Clip on :)

Ah, the cheeky mechanic has probably left it on his workbench then :)

Aye, clip on cover, get the garage to replace it.
