Basically wanna be able to plug my iPod into my CD player. I've got a CD changer, but I cant really be arsed burning loads of CD's for it. Is this the right lead?

I've been searching for a while now, and all the threads I find have dead links, apart from one in which the lead is £35!!!

Will this work...if not, does anybody have any other links?

Without hacking the loom and plugs, no, I don't think that one will work. As well as audio, there's a data link connection between the Symphony and the changer. Without that, I don't think it'll play...

You need something like this, I think...

Fair enough. They're pretty steep price wise, so perhaps i'll give it a miss for the time being!

theres a conncets2 on offer for about £49.99 that you can control the ipod thru your symphony.... google it! I got one on the way but not tried it to see what its like... I presume it would be pretty good?

That's what I read about, Connects2. Still quite a chunk of cash I don';t really have lying around atm, so i'll give it a miss for the time being :) at least I know what to search for now though.

it is yeah, I dont think there are any other alternatives... you could look for a bargain fm transmitter off ebay? or even at your local market...my mate picked one up for 7.99 did the job for music. but fm quality rather than an mp3 :)

get the connects2 one it will be worth it in the end. it was the first thing i bougth for my car. no i can just stick the ipod in the little gap below the radio and the wire comes from a hole i mad in the back of that box which you cant see. money well spent to be fair. better than those **** FM transmitters, and better having loads of CD's hanging around that skip when slightly used or scratch. Go for it

If it is the same system as the ibiza - you can use the cheap cable listed above and then earth pin 14 to the chassis of the radio to fool the radio in to thinking it has a 6cd changer fitted.

You have no control of the ipod or mp3 player but the sound quality is good.

Think my priority is to sort my speakers out first - 3 of them are blown! Got some to replace the fronts, judt not fitted them yet & i'll probably disconnect the rears or just turn them down a lot
