My vagcom findings

Featured Replies

I posted about a week ago about my EML coming on and going off intermittently. I finally got hooked up to vagcom tonight and here are the faults:

Address 01     -------------------------------------------------------

   Controller: 038 906 019 NF

   Component: 1,9l R4 EDC 0000SG  7000

   Coding: 00102

   Shop #: WSC

1 Fault Found:

17664 - Engine Coolant Temp Sensor (G62): Open or Short to Plus

            P1256 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Readiness: N/A

Quite easily understood, is it an easy/expensive fix?

And this one which is puzzling:

Address 08     -------------------------------------------------------

   Controller: 6Y0 820 045

   Component: Klimaanlage        X0840

1 Fault Found:

00819 - High Pressure Sensor (G65)

            07-00 - Signal to Low

And the last one:

Address 09     -------------------------------------------------------

   Controller: 6Q1 937 049 D

   Component: 0000 BN-SG.         1S34

   Coding: 25754

   Shop #: WSC 13765

1 Fault Found:

01598 - Drive Battery Voltage

            07-10 - Signal to Low - Intermittent

Can anyone shed some light on the second and third faults please?

Thanks.

2nd fault - usually when you have no gas in AC or presure is too low. sensor is located under G12 tank on the AC pipe. may be loose connection

3rd fault - happens when you disconnect battery or voltage drops below certain level. should be enough just to erase this one... if comes back again check condition of battery and look for any loose terminals in the fuse box on top of battery.

Take your chassis number out of the first post too

Yep wouldn't want a clone of your car out there. It's the TM....... number.

For first one I think either a wiring fault or the temp sender itself. Easy cheapish fix if it's just the sensor, things get more complicated checking for and repairing wiring faults.
