Yeti Adventure - South East

Featured Replies

I need to run the lanes with a Yeti. There are some which might be a bit tricky how steep the climb is although all the lanes I use are gravel or sand so there is very little actual mud.

I need to learn my way around Salisbury Plains more. The last time I was there I got lost and ended up in the middle of a live fire excersize. Was promptly escorted off the site by some scary looking men.

Maybe if someone is around Sunday 25th in the afternoon/evening to try out all the lanes and the routes to make sure there is nothing too tricky. Don't worry about getting stuck as I can tow you through anything the only thing I'm worried about is paintwork damage in the narrower sections as a couple of the lanes have got very overgrown in the last 2 months. There are from memory 2 sections which require some good axle articulation which I don't think I ever tried with the Yeti, although from looking at one now the ground clearance is enough and I think it's wheel base is short enough for it not to be a problem.

Happy to join you for a test run, but can't bear the thought of scratching the paint - its still too new!

Where/when?

I'm almost certain I'm off next Sunday 25th. If we could meet in Bocketts Farm Leatherhead at 10am, the lanes should take a couple of hours to do. They should all be dry bar one or two sections. There are 2 overgrown sections now one of which is just soft leaves which don't do any damage the other lane has got branches sticking out which do catch the Landcruiser but a Yeti is a little narrower so might not even catch the sides at all.

Date and time booked.

Is the farm at RH5 6BD (the postcode you mentioned earlier in this thread)?

If not, may I have some directions, please?

Being silly, sounds like I should put clingfilm down each side.....

Sorry - Googled "Bocketts Farm" - now know all I need to.

I wouldn't bother. I tried it once and it lasted about 30seconds!!
