Roomster won't start

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Been a long time since I used these forums and the Furby vRS is gone in favour of a 1.4tdi Roomster so I can get loads of watersports kit in the back of it (they really are tardis like).

Anyway the car has done just under 31k is a 56 plate and has full Skoda service history MOT etc and yesterday with no build up/warning/light the car did not start first time and after a prolonged turn of the key it came to life. However just as I neared home and on the middle of a busy roundabout the engine died (scary) but I managed to coast to a side road and now the car failed to start. The AA guy got it to start by hitting the starter motor as I turned the ignition but it would die as soon as you revved it and then took your foot off the accelerator.

AA guy reckons some sort of fuel pump problem - I have searched the forum, but cannot find anything on it so lookig for a little help as the garage (Henrys Glasgow) can't look at it until Monday!!!!

Regards

John

Dunno, but if you're West Side of Glasgow, call "A for Audi" in Clydebank.
