Toddlers in back seat

Featured Replies

I was wondering if any fellow Skoda Fabia drivers had encountered this situation. We have used the child lock on the back door so he cannot open it from inside.

Unfortunately, my son has a trick with his feet where he can wind down the window fully by kicking the window handle. Is there any recommended techniques to start this? I'm slightly worried as if he makes this a habit he could one day wriggle free from being strapped in.

If the Furbie's the same as the Octy, there's a button on the driver's door armrest between the front and rear electric window controls which disables the rear electric windows.

I'm assuming by "handle" he means manual.

Nothing really, except removing the handle, perhaps?

Thanks for the reply. I thought this might be the way I have to go. I'm just wondering whether the handles are easy to detach via a screw.

My lad used to do this, I just gave him a proper b******ing and he's never done it since, :giggle: .

The handle comes off very easily, you just pull the centre bit around where it swivels out, away from the handle, and then the handle just comes straight off. If you look at the door carrier guide I believe it explains in a little more depth :)

Boys eh! Another couple of years and hell be unscrewing bits from your car, like i did to my dads Ford Consul mk1. :giggle:

The one in mine as good as fell off when a bag strap got caught on it, just pushed it back on again and it was fine. Not a hard job to remove at all.

My oldest does it too - she cant get out the window as she is strapped in tight. I last time she did it I didnt react, it soon startedto rain and just let her get cold and wet. She hasnt done it since! :) I love my kids!
