Grrr.... so much for good Skoda service (bad day rant)

Featured Replies

Having been really pleased with my local dealer when the car went in for a 70k service recently I'm now not so sure about them.

Got in the car this morning and heard the BEEP BEEP BEEP, looked down expecting it to be the petrol warning but, no. The warning light was flashing for the coolant, so I looked under the bonnet to find the expansion tank lid was wedged down the side next to the wing... obviously during the 600 miles since the service some of the coolant had slopped over the side.

With the car now on the level (rolled off sloping driveway) the beeping stopped - will be topping it uup at lunch.

Grrrr.... then, while running late for work I got stuck behind a combine harvester - in December!!!!

Name and shame please

Opps, but we are all human.

I feel your pain.

When I put my octiva in for a 20,000 mile service this week at my local dealer, i got a phone call after an hour to say that they had damaged the front bumper while trying to get the car on the ramps. Would'nt have minded so much but it's a standard VRS so they should know the front bumpers are quite low. :thumbdwn:

They have said they need to replace the whole bumper, it will be interesting to see if they can match the colour OK.

To top things off, when i picked the car up, i was a little anoyed (understatement really) to find there was black marks over the nice white interior carpets that had only been cleaned a week before.

I am really concerned that te colour of the new bumper is not going to match quite right. Is silver an easy colour to match up?

Mark

Very little chgance they will get the bumper right, plus even if they do, you have a car with an inferior replace bumper. You should be looking at them replacing it plus giving you compensation.

Mark, Silver is a bitch to match. SWMBO's A3 had a new rear bumper after it got damaged and although the paint job was very good in certain light / certain angles there's most definately a mis-match :(

Merrits in Aylesbury - I'll be changing my previous review in the "reviews" section.

Both myself and my little bro have had distinctly average experiences with merrits. Not really bad as such. Just seem to leave felling that your custom is totally unappreciated
