Auto door locking

Featured Replies

Just bought an awesome Octavia Ambiente , 2001 on a "Y" plate with only 39000 on the clock and fully documented...

Question is this..................Car has the auto lock mechanism so when you drive away all the doors lock. Is there any way to disable this so it functions normally? ie doesn`t lock unless you push the button or get out when stopped and lock it?

cheers

Hi

Why do you want to disable the function ?

Its a good security feature, as you know the doors are locked when driving, including the boot,

example without it: driving down the road, pull up at lights, Thief opens boot and nicks goods out of boot, and legs it all before you have chance to get out of the car

also you other half is sat in the passanger seat and again door opens and they nick her hand bag and gone before you know it.

But if the doors are locked this cannot be done !

Radiotwo.

Ps but yes it can be turned off with Vag-com

You need someone with VAGCOM.

It's all done wi thin that diagnostic tool.

About 5 minute job.
