The fiscon Basic Plus (which i have) integrates with the MFD3 & Maxidot.

The problem with the Year models is Skoda replaced the Green Backlit LCD display for a White LCD display that looks very similar to the Maxidot. However it doesn't have the same functionality.

Once the iPhone has connected to the Fiscon i can press telephone on the MFD3 and either dial one of the 6 presets on the screen. or i can press the phonebook icon and choose someone to dial. I can the exact same thing through the maxidot.

Using the maxidot i can also stream music via bluetooth from the iphone and play it through the car speakers.

Three variants? Basic and BasicPlus I know about (I have BasicPlus), but what's the third one?

Whereabouts are you? Happy to show you mine if I'm anywhere close, if not, maybe I can take a few pictures...

I tend to use mine through the Bolero as I can start typing a name in if I have to make an outgoing call and with over 500 entries in the address book it's easier than scrolling through on Maxidot... but when on a call I do get the info on Maxidot too

on the fiscon website here they also have a pro version - but not available/suitable for skoda.. I'd want the Plus for sure.. do you also get SMS somewhere? That would be handy for sure..

I'm cambridgeshire based, periodically in cheshire, and part of the week in berkshire... are any of those close? :-)

This is such a better solution than the manufacturer fit.. I'm so annoyed I didn't know about this when I ordered the GSMIII - I think i need to press skoda for a full refund and get one of these kits.. with my last kit I could also play my netbook audio over the bluetooth, which it sounds like the fiscon will support too..

I live in Birmingham, but work all over the country, next week I'm in Salisbury on Monday and Fleet on Tuesday, don't know about the rest of the week yet (currently in Scotland) so not looking promising at the moment unless we cross paths on our travels...

Maxidot has always been white.

Do you have a menu that goes something like MFD, Audio, Navigation (if you have MFD3) Telephone, Setup? if so thats maxidot. If not you have the White LCD trip computer.Which the Fiscon kit doesn't work with

The Fiscon doesn't support simultaneous connection of two devices either, so you could stream music from your netbook or have your phone connected but not both at the same time.

If your display shows which door is open then you have maxidot. The non-maxidot display now looks more like maxidot that it used to (was green and half height, is now full height and black). As you have MFSW you almost certainly have Maxidot

I def. have maxidot.. the reason i sounded unsure was I've never seen or owned the alternative.... now you've described it like that, I know what you mean and mine is def maxidot, as you say, I have MFSW..
