I've got one of the 312mm brake kits (from Golfturbo) to fit to my VRS and although I'm prepared to do a lot of jobs on the car myself, this isn't one of them.

How long would you estimate it takes to fit them, bleed brakes etc, I'm trying to work out what a garage is likely to charge.

Also, for those that have already fitted the same kit - is there anything else I'm likely to need, and is it best to use the VRS brake hoses or the TT ones in the box?

I would hope around 2 hours?? I think most people here have used their own hoses - I'm fairly sure I did when I ran 312s.

Got mine fitted by Ali at Unit18 along with some other bits. I'd say an hour max as it is a straightforward swap although Ali works faster than a F1 pit lane mechanic :yes: Used the original hoses too..

Took me no more than 4 hours and I'm an amateur with a basic tool set who had never done the job before. I would imagine a garage would be a lot quicker.

basic job for a competant mechanic in a garage...i'd say they'll charge you min 2 hours and as devon says use your hoses.
