its the 2.75" system as that one only had twin pipes where as the 2.5" system only had the oval option

No,the very early Milltek for the Octavia came with the twin pipe,then Milltek changed to a Oval pipe.

The 2 3/4" system came out a lot later (around 3-4 years ago) and the one on ebay looks alot older than that.

i stand corrected, when i enquired for mine probably just under 3 yrs ago the only 2 options were the 2.75" twin pipe and the 2.5" oval.

i would have gone for the larger bore had it not been nearly £1000 and only available turbo back

Milltek also used to do a 2.5" Downpipe as well as the 3" but they stopped the 2.5"

IIRC the 2 3/4" one was developed for Steevie Wonders car.
