It's in the UK! (and Sunroof update)

Featured Replies

Just been to my dealer to get an update on any sightings of my Snow Monster. It's been spotted quietly sitting in a holding lot in Grimsby awaiting a lift from a kind transporter to the dealers. It should be in its new home next week. emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Asked him about the current saga with the sunroofs. Apparently, it's purely a supply and demand problem. The supplier simply can't cope with the volume that's on order and the distribution of sunroofs is now on a quota system. Alas, a temporary suspension has been put in place with the option for Yetis until the backlog has been cleared. Not good news for those currently wanting to order their SM with a sunroof emoticon-0106-crying.gif but, in time, the option will be reinstated.

Nice one - am looking forward to pictures of your pimped up Yeti !

As far as I am aware, poeple who have placed orders for yetis ( which are now delayed), are to be given the choice of their order being processed, but without sunroof, and to have sat nav fitted instead, or they can wait until stocks of sunroofs come back in, ( but this could be up to november, before being able to collect their car).

Is that a Skoda IE thing, rather than UK ?

Wasn't overly impressed with the SatNav on the demo (and I'm not anti-builtin, as I have it on my S-Max).

Sunroof way more useful for me personally - but then I only do c. 10k a year in the Yeti !

I'd also much rather have the sunroof. The built-in sat navs seem extremely expensive and inflexible when compared with an add-on TomTom.

I need to be able to add personalised POIs to a sat nav, and to update or change them frequently. It's very simple to do this with a TomTom device, but very difficult with a built-in sat nav (as far as I can see). It's also much cheaper to update the maps on a TomTom.

I've been told in Ireland, but I would imagine that it will be much the same in the UK, as otherwise the backlogs will build up, and no one will be happy. If I get any more info, I will post it here as soon as.

I have been told by my local Skoda dealer and Skoda UK that the sunroof issue is a worldwide problem and also affects the sunroof on the Superb.

I wasnt able to get a sunroof so will be buying a Qashquai instead, Skode....................you've lost a sale due to you shoddy customer services :moon:

Have to say I'm looking around now, with the mini coming out it could be an option.
