Does anyone know how much a 2nd hand TDI cat converter from a VRS is worth?

Ive heard they contain platinum so the scrap value is high?

Can anyone shed any light?

i know scrapmen who'll pay £50 for a cat...prop be worth £100 ish if in good nick to go on a car..

if its just to be scrapped it goes on the amount of platinum inside, we normally get about £30-£50 for them, we had a cat from a galaxy v6 and was worth very little as it contains mainly stainless steel inside.

never scrapped a vrs cat yet so dunno wot they like. probs £40
