How to transfere from flickr

Featured Replies

How do I get a photo from flickr onto this board. Probably staring me in the face but I cannot see it. Thanks in advance.

You mean one like this from your Flickr archive Chris:-

4494850448_2862662ca4.jpg

This first one was after I'd clicked 'All Sizes' (went large) and then right clicked to 'Copy Image Location' and the second one was done the same way but from your main page hence the smaller size.

I know that you are able to upload to Brisky so won't go into that.

Click on the photo you want to add

Click on the "all sizes" icon

Select the size that you want

Copy the "Grab the photo's URL" text from under the photo and paste it here within the image tags.

Just click on the "Insert image" icon (second to the right of the similie face above the text box when you are posting) and insert the copied URL into the box that appears.

Looks like you've been having a bit of trouble Chris!

In your last post you added 2x http ( http://http://farm5....2db449a16_m.jpg so that link would never work!

You're looking too hard and didn't read what I'd said earlier.....

Here's a link to one of your pictures of Cusworth Hall. If you go to that page and right click then you will see the following with me having screen grabbed just as I right clicked:-

Chris-%20Flickr.jpg

So now you've copied the image location you'll need to paste it into the relevant place on Briskoda. The place to do that is by clicking on picture.png which is between the chain and envelope icons, here:-

Chris-%20Flickr2.jpg

This will open up to give you:-

Chris-%20Flickr3.jpg

So now you right click again and select paste which will now look similar to this:-

Chris-%20Flickr4.jpg

Just click where it says 'Insert Image' and you should be sorted.

No doubt you will let us know if that doesn't work :D

John, I seem to have the same problem as D15VRS!!!???...

We are reading what you said honest  and are not looking too hard- it just is NOT there as an option! :'(

When I follow your instructions re Cusworth and right click... no options appear as "copy image location" nor even a "copy image" only a plain "copy".

any clues as to why?

Help!!! Please...

Chris' attempt this morning has again added 'http://' at the beginning of his link whereas if he'd done it properly he would have got this:-

4634610461_fb31e0f817_m.jpg

That would appear to be just a mistake in not highlighting the 'http://' and pasting the photo link over the top of it - you have instead pasted the link afterwards hence the double http etc. See my third picture in the previous post and you see that it is already highlighted prior to pasting and would have given you one instance of 'http://'.

I'm slightly at a loss as the right click option is built in to the Windows OS so are you running with reduced access rights and did you right click when you were on the actual picture as opposed to another part of the page?

Hi john999boy right clicked on picture, have full spec Windows 7 OS...Could it be because I am not registered on nor signed in to Flickr that is causing my restriction on options?

You don't need to be registered or signed in on Flickr for it to work. Alternately try doing it from one of Robs pages to see if that makes any difference.

Can you do a screen grab (press the 'Print Scrn key and then save/upload the picture which will be in the computer buffer - ie press 'Ctrl + V' into a picture program) when you right click over the Cusworth Hall and post that for me to have a look at?

Same with Robs photo, I don't have a "Print Scrn" key and once I press "ctrl + V" nothing happens? where do I find and how to I then process this Buffer image into a picture program?....maybe this is too complicated for my non comp. brain  ...I hate it when they don't just do as they are told :giggle:

What sort of computer are you using? Far be it for me to say that the key is probably staring you in the face, but ................

Alternatively, have you wound it up recently as that may help? ;)

I thought all computers had that similar keyboards so we'll see what your reply is on that one.

As for the ctrl+v, well that will only work if you've used ctrl+c (or copy) and put something in the buffer earlier.

:dull:

I'll go read my manual.
