vw dual zone climate

Featured Replies

i,ve got a vrs on an 07, i must be getting bored because i keep buying things on e-bay for my car for no apparant reason, anyway.................... a vw dual zone climate control fits a vrs and works as normal, two upsides to this, 1 chrome around the dials and 2 back lit in red. just need the vw mfd3 and the m/f steering wheel next..... p.s. oh i forgot waiting for the vw light swich and golf ball gear knob to arrive... damn that devil booze and e-bay..............

It even looks like a Golf :giggle:

Not sure I would want to mismatch the red and green back lights? Skoda do a MFSW now don't they?

Skoda have done one for years:

...with lovely Skoda green back lights on the buttons!

I thought the only way to get a MFSW on a Skoda was to go with MSG and flappy paddles?

That's the easiest way as you can order through your local dealer but a wide range of other wheels are available on the continent if you can get access to them. Try www.Skodateile.cz

Sarge.

Simbo has been mostly wearing casual 70s style slip ons! :giggle:

Surely a golf gti mfs backlit in red is better?

Err no! - Anything backlit in red can be very difficult to read and focus on, even for those who are not colour blind - that's part of the reason I personally hate VW and Audi dashboards at night - I just can't focus on them. The eye actually sees green far better and more clearly than any other colour...

Only on the vRS. Most of the other models have the MFSW as an option, even without the DSG...

I never realised that! Who says forums aren't educational...?!? :giggle:

Do you need a fairly new car for one to work? Would one work on my '07 d'you think?

Thanks for the info...

Ben (shark_90) will be the one to ask on that emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I was going on current models being ordered new rather than retrofitting, but I don't see why it couldn't be done

Makes you wonder why people drive into trees then...... :giggle:

I would never fit a VW or an Audi wheel to a Skoda, nor would I want to fit an older non sport style wheel. European Ebays maybe an option for a Vrs MFSW?

You may have not noticed, but it says VW Golf Gti on it? It's got too much Chrome for me.

.........and if you've got cruise it currently won't work............

err... maybe brown tree trunks closer to red than green?

But they do do one very similar with less chrome for the lesser golfs - I've driven one (and I have to admit the buttons on it were much nicer and easier to use than the ones on my Octavia (which is the same as the Skoda one above...)

Either way I'd rather get used to the Skoda button positions (Which would take minutes) than have a wheel from another vehicle in my car.

I have fitted mk6 mfsw and my cruise still works in my 2004 golf. I know the octavia uses the same set up

Why not just buy a VW to begin with, rather than build one via ebay :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

I'v got MFSW on my 07 Scout !

It wasn't the position that was better - more the tactility, feel and range of function.
