I have a feeling that my bushes are on their way out. Not had the car in the air to check yet but getting horrible clinks sometimes when travelling over an even surface.

Can anyone post pics of where the bushes are that need to be changed and some part numbers please.

You might find it's yor front arb bushes, mine clunks in the same way over uneven surfaces. They are pretty cheap, and easy to fit, it's the bushes where they attach to the car. You'll need to get both sides as they have changed the fitments from standard. If it's the console bushes you'll notice a knock when you accelerate or brake, also you will be able to see a lot of play in the wheel if you hold the car by the front wheelarch and your foot on the top of the wheel, then move the wheel with your foot. 1-2cm of play is normal for the standard skoda bushes. Personally yours sounds like tha arb bushes, not the console ones. To check those get the car on a ramp with the weight on the wheels, and pull down on the car (not the suspension), the play in the bushes should be fairly obvious if they are worn.

Also, do you find the knocking gets less loud after the car has warmed up? Due to the rubber bushes warming up also

Could be something in that - neither of ours had any knocks / pings when the console bushes went, but they did creak over speed bumps. FWIW, only the very earliest Fabias had the FARB which promoted accelerate bushing wear. My wife's is a 51-plate, and has the newer design with a sort of collar either side of the bush (as does my 54-plate). Although both cars are on their second set of wishbone bushes, they both have the same FARB bushes that they left the factory with.

Mines a 53plate, 120k ish. Got through one set of console bushes and the arb ones are getting done this weekend (if the sun stays out!)

My mechanic is doing my timing belt and water pump tomorrow so will get him to check them out for wear.
