I am repainting my vent surrounds this weekend as I did such a crap job the first time.... Question is, do I just do a proper job of redoing them diamond silver or would painted glossy black (would use diamond metallic final coat) be perhaps more "oem+" ?? I also have some white paint.....

I do actually have some red garage door hammerite.... but NO. Not even considering that. I have found a can of race blue.... but have also said.ummm no!

How about a metallic grey? I was debating whipping mine out this summer for a colour change to this, but SWMBO insisted that silver was best as it matches all the vRS interior bits!

I still recon a nice metallic grey could look subtle yet slick! I guess a bit like what the last of the mk1 superbs had.. but a bit flatter, not so shiney?

Could do ya ash tray and kn0b surround as well

And don't be so hard on your last paint job... It was seeing those at the national last summer that made me wanna do mine
