Anyone seen any mad number plates?

had to add to this amusing thread, just been to the supermarket and parked next to a Subaru Impreza estate with the reg SO0 8 ROO, I'm not a fan of those who alter and misrepresent number plates by altering or tampering with the letters and numbers, but the misspaced ones dont bother me as they can still be read easily

Well, SH12 HOT was going for £815 including the transfer fee. I reckon I missed a bargain there, I'm sure a few 'money no object' Ferrari/Lambourghini owners would be prepared to pay a good sum for it.

Clearly a present from a husband to a wife. With the amount of attention most women seem to pay to their cars, it's entirely possible that he swapped the plates/documents and she's blissfully unaware of it

Sorry to be the party pooper guys, but have any of these plate owners ever thought of the possible serious consequences of buggering about with the legal license plate layout?

If your car was used for criminal purposes (and nearly all criminals use stolen cars) then the ANPR cameras will be a huge benefit in catching these toerags.

It might seen clever to have a giggle at altered plates, but heaven hope that when you or a loved one gets thrown into the boot of a criminals stolen car, it has a legal plate for the ANPR to read.
