Superchips conversion for VRS CR Diesel

Featured Replies

Hi - has anybody had the conversion done to their CR diesel? I believe it's supposed to add 28bhp and about 50lb ft. I have the estate, and think that the conversion might make it the ultimate Q Car - but wonder if the difference is really noticeable? If anybody has any stats as to what it does to the 0-60 time and in-gear times I would be very interested to hear

Cheers

conversion?? never heard of a remap called that before :p .

I had bluefin on my car previously, at all the available tuning stages. must admit, im not a fan. i have since changed to a shark performance and the difference is vast. give them a call. they have a sub forum on briskoda. he wil be able to do your car with the same sort of hanse called an STS handset.

he is a little bit more expensive than bluefin but you are getting what you pay for. which is a better remap. This is of course just from personal experience and is only my in my opinion

your quoted figures are very realistic though. that is about right for any stage 1 remap. the differences are in the delivery and that is what matters.

As vRsy says give Shark a call I had mine done and its the latest edition.Very good power and torque increase.

Ben will correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think STS was available yet for the CR engine

(Apologies if I've missed something and am not up to date)

No, the CR engine doesn't have the STS unit available at all

in that case it looks like you would have to travel uto him to get it then.

Hi,

I actually got the first one, it's good, not a wrecking ball of a change, but was noticeable, smoother and revier ... so long since I had it done I have forgotten what it was like before, tbh!

i took mine off for a long journey about a year and half ago, but put it back on after about ten miles cos the car felt well and truly dead as standard

Here are my curves

suprised they are not higher figures TBH. Superchips dyno is notoriously renowned for high readings. the important difference is between the before and after figures as they are the gains that are important.
