Yeah cool

discs & pads

these will do the job...

+1 ^^^^^^^^^^Currently on the shifty mobile after going through a very expensive set of tarox discs and pads. Not a great difference at all. Excellent for normal day to day driving

I recently purchased these. Service was awesome - ordered 4pm and they were delivered the next day!

There were ideal for the 312mm upgrade, but, to my disappointment, they have started to rust around the housing :(

the stud housing? they will as they are mild steel and arnt zinc plated..

Given the choice again, I would propbably spend a bit more on the discs - mine look fugly at the mo

when changing to 312's do you need to change the hoses?

You can use the standard one, but there a bit of a tight fit.

would it be better to get octavia ones then, i assume its just the flexi that would need replaced?

just trying to sort out all the parts i'll need and then get them ordered this week :D

I have the original Fabia hoses on my 312s and I think they're braided as standard (someone correct me if I'm wrong), for discs and pads I have ZeroSixty discs which look nice with my red calipers, and Tarox Strada pads- all supplied from Sarah @ Awesome. I've done a couple track days in them including 15 ring laps and there's still plenty wear on them.

last weekend I swapped my standard front brake set-up for a 312mm set-up.

it was easy. I used the existing hoses as it is stated in so many places that they are fine.

I also bought standard octavia discs and pads. reson for this. as stated again everywhere on this site by numerous people. bigger discs do not need to be cross drilled as that causes a higher chance of brake heat damage and cracking to the discs. grooved are ok but upto a max of around 16-20 grooves. move just kills the pads and really cut down the braking effect. it is easier to go with the standard occy 312 vrs brake discs and pads as they are readily avaliable and are as cheap as anything. the stopping is still improoved dramatically and the look is still good.

saves in the log run. Unfortunately all the shops on here will hate me for saying this but no need to go to perfomance stuff if increasing the size from standard on these brakes unless you intend using them for track days.

oh well enjoy fitting them as it only took me around 1 hour / side and that was due to the fact I didn't have a 7mm star head driver for the disc removal. but it was all good in the end.
